Originally built to help service local quarries in around 1908, the line soon got into problems and was closed. It has now been lovingly retored and the tourist train of pay cathare runs throughout the season and it is worth coming here just to travel on it! The views are spectacular! There are a variety of trips available running form 30 minutes to half a day. There are reductions for children (see web site for details) and the station is only 5 minutes walk from the house. We can run you up there in the car if you are taking picnics etc.
It is possible to take the train to the village of Maury which is famous for its delicious Maury and Muscat wines. The train stops here and there is time for wine tasting. No need for a dedicated driver. Let the train take the strain!
The train always stops on the viaduct in front of our house and the views are spectacular. Don't miss it!
