History

Our love affair with France started many years ago with holidays to various regions to experience the truly wonderful variety and hospitality of the different cultures France has to offer. 

We started looking for a house and gardens 6 years ago, the only remit being to find somewhere hot and representative of the true France, not too touristy, not too remote.

We found that special house here in the lovely thriving village of Axat in the Aude department of the Langudoc and have now opened it as a bed and breakfast.  Why here?  When you see the views form the house and meet the friendly locals you will understand!  It really is a beautiful and special place.  The house itself dates from the 1800's and is a special place.

We are half way between the mountains and the Mediteranian.  The best of both worlds!
